Antibiotic susceptibility lookup
This tool ranks antibiotics by how likely they are to work against a chosen bacterial isolate. It combines five inputs: your local antibiogram (what percent of each isolate is susceptible to each drug), the patient’s resistance history from prior lab results, recent antibiotic use (drugs used in the last 6 months are flagged), known allergies with class cross-reactivity checks, and pregnancy considerations when enabled. Toggle UTI-Specific Antibiotics to focus the ranking on the ten drugs most relevant to urinary tract infection.
Enter or generate a patient history, pick the bacterial isolate, and choose Show Susceptibility to see the ranked table. The antibiogram itself is editable, so the table can reflect your own institution’s data.
Clinical decision support — not a substitute for judgment. This tool assists prescribing decisions; it does not diagnose, does not replace clinical judgment, and does not replace your institution’s antibiogram, infectious-disease consultation, or the patient’s actual culture and susceptibility results. Verify every recommendation against local guidance before prescribing.
The table below runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent or saved anywhere.
